Itasca has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Rio Vista Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Itasca beat the Gladiators 60-55.
In what's become a running theme this season, Rio Vista gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. Everything went their way against Frost as Rio Vista made off with a 60-38 victory. The victory was nothing new for Rio Vista as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Rio Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Macklin, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Macklin hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Peyton Covey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Itasca is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Rio Vista, they pushed their record up to 19-12 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Itasca came up short against the Eagles in their previous meeting back in January, falling 42-31. Can Itasca avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
