After losing to the Blackford Bruins the last time they met, the Frankton Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Frankton secured a 37-32 W over Blackford on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Blackford lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sydnee Morris. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Morris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Wicker, who scored eight points.
Blackford struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Frankton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Blackford, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankton will take on Mississinewa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blackford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
