Hagen Hughes Delivers Electric Performance Vs Fossil Ridge
Hagen Hughes's big game helped extend Azle's winning streak to six on Friday. Hughes was unstoppable, rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 57 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Azle's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Hughes and Azle will take on Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Gavin Beard Leads Aledo over Granbury
Gavin Beard produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Aledo to the win on Friday. Beard threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. What's more, he also racked up ten rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.
The win (which was Aledo's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Beard and Aledo will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Richland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Derrek Vowell Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Azle got the W thanks in part to Derrek Vowell playing the best football he has all season. Vowell threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes.

On the season, Mackey has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 70.5 receiving yards per game.
