The Cy-Fair Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Cypress Ridge Rams at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cy-Fair focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
Cy-Fair scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over Spring Woods. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cy-Fair.
Cy-Fair relied on the efforts of Viviyn Mcleod, who scored 17 points along with two steals, and Taniyah Davis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tiarriah Tynes, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cypress Ridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Stratford 44-42.
Cy-Fair's record is now 13-18. Cypress Ridge's record now sits at 14-16.
Cy-Fair came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 57-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cy-Fair since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
