Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Whitehall Zephyrs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Delaware Valley on Friday, falling 56-27. Whitehall's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Ryder Machado, who rushed for 252 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Logan Olsommer was another key contributor, throwing for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Delaware Valley's defense and their five sacks. Whitehall's QB won't forget Jacob Albaugh anytime soon given Albaugh sacked him twice.
Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Delaware Valley, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Delaware Valley also has no future games currently scheduled.
