The Denver Academy of Torah Wolves lost against the Denver Waldorf Spartans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Denver Academy of Torah's rough 68-46 defeat to Denver Waldorf might stick with them for a while. Denver Academy of Torah has not had much luck with Denver Waldorf recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Denver Academy of Torah still got an impressive performance from Daniel Fiedler, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Fiedler scored a full 26.1% of Denver Academy of Torah's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ben Kahn-Rose was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Denver Waldorf was led to victory by Cayden Quinn and Erik Krakauskas. Quinn dropped a triple-double on 19 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists, while Krakauskas scored 19 points along with five assists and four steals. Krakauskas also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Henry Lottridge, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Denver Academy of Torah now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Denver Waldorf, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denver Academy of Torah's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mile High Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Mile High Academy's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Denver Academy of Torah's offense will have their work cut out for Denver Academy of Torah. As for Denver Waldorf, they will head out on the road to face off against Belleview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Belleview Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
