Even though the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, the Portal Panthers still came out on top. Portal took their contest against Southeast Bulloch 72-63. The win made it back-to-back wins for Portal.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Portal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Thomas, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was David Thomas, who scored 21 points.
Portal's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Southeast Bulloch, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portal will take on Effingham County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southeast Bulloch, they will be playing at home against South Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
