New Milford is 0-8 against Masuk since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The New Milford Green Wave will head out on the road to face off against the Masuk Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (New Milford is ranked 38th, while Masuk is ranked 22nd).
Last Friday, New Milford made easy work of Weston and carried off a 46-26 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for New Milford.
Jack Balzi had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Alex Brown made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Masuk earned a 31-20 win over Brookfield on Friday.
New Milford is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Masuk, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-2.
New Milford came up short against Masuk in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 36-28. Can New Milford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
