The Scotus Shamrocks were the 61-47 winner over the St. Cecilia Bluehawks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Scotus took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Cecilia on Thursday.
Scotus' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Wemhoff, who scored 14 points. Jackson Heng was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Scotus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for St. Cecilia, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Scotus will be playing at home against Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Cecilia, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Neumann at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
