The Central Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to Friendly 66-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Friendly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Khadir Johnson, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maddox Graham, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12. As for Friendly, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10.
Central will square off against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South at TBD on Tuesday. As for Friendly, they will head out on the road to take on Suitland at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Friendly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Suitland likes a good challenge.
