The Compass Charter Aviators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marsing. Compass Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marsing apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Grayson Skimmyhorn and Mason Bennett certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Skimmyhorn scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three blocks, while Bennett scored 14 points. It was the first time this season that Skimmyhorn scored 15 or more points. Logan Morris was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Compass Charter has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Marsing, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
Compass Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Riverstone International at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Compass Charter is coming into the contest with three straight losses on the road, meaning Riverstone International will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Marsing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
