Atkins can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Bald Knob Bulldogs by a score of 8-3. The Red Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Isaac Sims was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Koenigseder, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Atkins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bald Knob only posted an OBP of .412.

Atkins' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bald Knob, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atkins will square off against Hackett at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bald Knob, they will face off against Maumelle Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
