The Timber Lake Panthers lost against the Harding County Ranchers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Timber Lake took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harding County. That's two games in a row now that Timber Lake has lost by exactly four points.
Harding County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Payton Dvorak, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dvorak has scored at least 25% of Harding County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Smith, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Timber Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Harding County, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Timber Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Herreid/Selby at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding County, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
