The Long Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 70-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ariton. Long has struggled against Ariton recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Ian Senn, who went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 42 points and 4 assists for Ariton. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Senn has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Myles Tyler, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Long has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Ariton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.
Long does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ariton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Barbour County at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Barbour County has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
