Archbishop Mitty is 9-1 against Valley Christian since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Monarchs will head out to face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Archbishop Mitty's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Valley Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Archbishop Mitty had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Presentation on Friday. The Monarchs were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Panthers. The Monarchs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Kyleigh Mace looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Archbishop Mitty let MJ Fikes and Adelle Duncan run wild. Fikes got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI, while Duncan went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Duncan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gracie Giovacchini, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
Archbishop Mitty lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Live Oak typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Valley Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Acorns.
The team relied heavily on Sia Marsh, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Shyla Paredes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Archbishop Mitty pushed their record up to 12-5-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Archbishop Mitty hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .354. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
