Last Monday, Bluegrass United was able to grind out a solid win over Western Hills, taking the game 55-48.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bluegrass United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Piper Graham, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Graham's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hanlon, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Louisville Saints HomeSchool suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Holy Cross 56-27. Louisville Saints HomeSchool was down 43-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Lucy Greeley put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored ten points.
Bluegrass United pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Louisville Saints HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Bluegrass United have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Louisville Saints HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
