St. Peter has gone a perfect 10-0 against Moore Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Mavericks at 4:15 p.m. St. Peter's will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. St. Peter's was the clear victor by a 13-0 margin over Salesian. Considering St. Peter's has won four contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Louis Demontreux looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony Macaluso, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Salvatore Fragiglio, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
St. Peter's was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salesian only posted a batting average of .227.
Meanwhile, Moore Catholic came up short against St. Raymond Boys on Tuesday and fell 6-3. The Mavericks have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Moore Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MATTHEW DOYLE, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
St. Peter's pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Moore Catholic, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Peter's has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Moore Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
St. Peter's beat Moore Catholic 5-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
