Owen can attribute much of their success to Emmett Minks, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 47 yards and one TD. Those 81 rushing yards gave Minks a new career-high. Hayden Burpeau was in the mix as well, providing Owen with one score.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosman will head out to square off against North Buncombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Owen, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Cherryville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
