Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Douglas walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Crossville Lions on Friday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Douglas' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Crossville, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Douglas has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Sardis on the 25th. As for Crossville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Boaz on the 25th.
