The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Ayden Clavel and Zane Rush. Clavel had a great game and rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Meanwhile, Rush was balling out in the loss, rushing for 86 yards on only nine carries, while also throwing for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Gateway Christian put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mountainair 66-38 on the road. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Roy/Mosquero's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Gateway Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
Roy/Mosquero was taken down by Gateway Christian 60-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Roy/Mosquero, Jace Worley (who rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
