The Edgewood Warriors put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 61-53 victory over Madison.
Edgewood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Faith Vencill out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Mccollister, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Edgewood pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Madison, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-1.
Edgewood will head out on the road to face off against Conneaut at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Conneaut will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 455th, while Edgewood is ranked 47th). As for Madison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harvey at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
