With a playoff game on the line, the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes rose to the challenge on Saturday. They breezed by the Highlanders on the road to the tune of 49-21. Considering Duncanville has won 11 games by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Caden Durham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 323 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. Durham has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Keelon Russell, who rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Aden Self and Patrick Miller certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Self gained 125 total yards and a touchdown, while Miller threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Duncanville, bringing their record for this year to 11-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for The Woodlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Duncanville will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Westfield at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Westfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 401 points over their last six matches. The Woodlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
