In what's become a running theme this season, New Bern Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 51-30 margin over Liberty Christian Academy. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to post 12 more assists than your opponent, as New Bern Christian Academy did.
New Bern Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Alli Anderson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Faith Huffman, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Christ Covenant had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They snuck past Wilson Christian Academy with a 51-45 win.
New Bern Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Christ Covenant, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
New Bern Christian Academy suffered a grim 55-32 defeat to the Spartan in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can New Bern Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
