The Logansport Berries and the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Logansport proved on Saturday. They strolled past Rochester with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. With that victory, Logansport brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
Jacob Taylor was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for he. The team also got some help courtesy of Loran Taylor, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though East Chicago Central scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Lafayette Jefferson still came out on top. Lafayette Jefferson walked away with a 65-55 win over East Chicago Central.
Logansport now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Logansport took a serious blow against Lafayette Jefferson in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 61-25. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Logansport was down 36-8.
