Scituate can attribute much of their success to Lawson Foley, who picked up 210 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Jackson Thomas Belsan, who threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per attempt. Foley's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Grafton earned a 17-6 win over Marblehead on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Finn Gilmore, who rushed for 192 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Gilmore has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Grafton's defense and their three sacks. Austin McCormick was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Scituate has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Grafton, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Scituate was able to grind out a solid win over Grafton in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, winning 21-14. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Grafton's Tyler Dimond, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
