Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Azle Christian comes in on eight and Victory Baptist Academy on three.
Last Friday, Azle Christian strolled past Waxahachie Prep with points to spare, taking the game 62-46.
Meanwhile, Victory Baptist Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Varsity Opponent on Friday, taking the game 59-46. 59 seems to be a good number for Victory Baptist Academy as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Victory Baptist Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Hudson Ruhl, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Isaac Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 18 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Hestand, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Azle Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Victory Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Azle Christian strolled past Victory Baptist Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 60-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Azle Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
