The Clayton Clippers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Pennsville Memorial 67-50. This was payback for Clayton, who suffered a 51-23 loss the last time these two teams met.
Rainelle Blocker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clayton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Delaney, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Clayton's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Pennsville Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Clayton will square off against Gloucester Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glassboro at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
