The Tilden Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Bowen Boilermakers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tilden will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
Tilden put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They claimed a resounding 45-11 victory over Corliss at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-6.
Tilden's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rachel Ruiz led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Donegan, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, a win is a win, as they say, even a pretty close 20-14 win over Air Force Academy.
Bowen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was D'Mya Adams, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kimora Myles, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Tilden's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Bowen, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Tilden lost to Bowen at home by a decisive 39-24 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Tilden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
