After a string of four wins, Tindley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Purdue Polytechnic by a score of 46-44. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tindley has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Damon Van horn, who scored 13 points. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adonis Warfield, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Indiana Math & Science Academy North had to suffer through a rough 87-46 loss at the hands of Irvington Preparatory Academy. Indiana Math & Science Academy North was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-30.
Despite the defeat, Indiana Math & Science Academy North got a solid performance out of Jasaum Sowell, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Sowell scored a full 41.3% of Indiana Math & Science Academy North's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Tindley's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1. As for Indiana Math & Science Academy North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Tindley strolled past Indiana Math & Science Academy North in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 69-51. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Indiana Math & Science Academy North's Jasmin Suvalija, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
