Leading Hay Springs to victory were Gage Mintken and Dylan Young. Mintken dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Young dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mintken has scored at least 25% of Hay Springs' points. Jaron Dahlgren was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Hay Springs' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Arthur County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Hay Springs will head out on the road to face off against Morrill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Morrill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. As for Arthur County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Creek Valley.
