The Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights entered their tilt with the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Friendship Collegiate Academy came out on top against Riverdale Baptist by a score of 18-7 on Friday. Given Friendship Collegiate Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked third in District of Columbia, while Riverdale Baptist is ranked 38th in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendship Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Brown, who picked up 122 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brown's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Another player making a difference was Brenton Toles, who threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Friendship Collegiate Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points per game. As for Riverdale Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Friendship Collegiate Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on National Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on November 18th. Riverdale Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
