Eagle Ridge Academy is 0-6 against Stargate School since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Eagle Ridge Academy will be strutting in after a win while Stargate School will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Eagle Ridge Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Arrupe Jesuit, taking the game 3-1.
Eagle Ridge Academy was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 22-25, 25-6.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Stargate School's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain View. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mountain Lions 25-19 in the first set.
Stargate School started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.
Eagle Ridge Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Stargate School, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
