City College is 4-0 against Carver Vo-Tech since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The City College Black Knights will look to defend their home court against the Carver Vo-Tech Bears at 5:15 p.m. City College will be looking to keep their 17-game home win streak alive.
City College put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Digital Harbor 83-48 at home. Given City College's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Digital Harbor is ranked 199th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Carver Vo-Tech put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 70-19 victory over Coppin Academy at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Carver Vo-Tech has posted since December 8, 2023.
Carver Vo-Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Desmond Handon out in front who scored 17 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Handon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of David Ross, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
City College's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
City College strolled past Carver Vo-Tech in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 72-57. Will City College repeat their success, or does Carver Vo-Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
