Basketball Recap: North Forsyth's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

North Forsyth had lost five straight headed into Monday's matchup, but Jylyia Mizell didn't let it get to six. The North Forsyth Vikings blew past the Glenn Bobcats 58-11 on Monday thanks in part to Mizell, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Devey Ijames was another key player, putting up four points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2023.

North Forsyth's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Glenn, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

North Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 39-34 victory against Carver on the 26th. As for Glenn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 24-18 defeat against Winston-Salem Prep on the 26th.
