The Logan Wildcats will square off against the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Logan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Independence, who was ranked 21st at the time (Logan was ranked sixth). The Wildcats walked away with a 7-3 win over the Patriots on Tuesday.

Myleigh Adkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ashlin Brumfield was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenbrier East.
Aubrey Smallwood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 16 Ks.
At the plate, Woodrow Wilson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Reott, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.
Logan is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
