For the first time this season, Wausaukee will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Crivitz Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wausaukee is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Florence.
Keaghan Stumbris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, Wausaukee's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josie Seehawer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crivitz). Everything went their way against Northland Pines on Saturday as they made off with a 20-1 win. The Wolverines have beaten the Eagles the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.
Taryn Tracy made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Crivitz got a massive performance out of Hattie Frievalt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Frievalt has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Izzy Wesoloski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.
Crivitz always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northland Pines only posted an OBP of .364.
Wausaukee might still be hurting after the 14-7 defeat they got from Crivitz in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
