Basketball Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

After losing to Heritage Christian the last time they met, Arthur-Okaw Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders came out on top against the Heritage Christian Defenders by a score of 42-29 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Heritage Christian still got an impressive performance from Sydney Lenting, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Lenting has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava DeJong, who had five points and five boards.

Arthur-Okaw Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.6 points over those games. Heritage Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Arthur-Okaw Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage Christian, they will face off against Calumet Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calumet Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
