While losing is never fun, Woodlawn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Pell City is ranked 74th).
Pell City had a senior duo take command as Heaven O'Neal scored 17 points and Reagan Tarver scored 12 points along with six assists. Zaniya Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Woodlawn has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Pell City, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodlawn will take on Mountain Brook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pell City, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Shades Valley at 5:45 p.m.
