While fans of Rocky Mount might be used to big wins, the 59-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Leading Rocky Mount to victory were Keysha Mizzell and McKinley Battle. Mizzell scored 17 points along with five assists and three steals, while Battle dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Mizzell has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlin White, who scored eight points along with two steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Rocky Mount, bringing their record for this year to 13-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 53 points. As for Bunn, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky Mount will face off against Nash Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 55.06 points so far this season, Rocky Mount's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Nash Central better be ready for a challenge. As for Bunn, they will head out on the road to face off against Northern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bunn is facing Northern Nash at the right time seeing as Northern Nash is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
