South Whidbey found a leader in Charley Lasick as the team took down Vashon Island on Saturday. Vashon Island had no answer to Lasick as she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Lasick is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Lasick and South Whidbey will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cedar Park Christian at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. Lasick had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in May of 2024 21-0.
