The Danvers Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 72-52 loss to Marblehead might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Danvers in their matchups with the Magicians: they've now lost four in a row.
Danvers lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kevin Ahearn, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Metivier, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Danvers has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Marblehead, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danvers will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winthrop is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Marblehead, they will be playing at home against the Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
