The Caldwell Academy Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Page Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Caldwell Academy has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Page will arrive with seven straight victories.
Burlington Christian Academy hit Caldwell Academy with a six-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Page always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .515 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Caldwell Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Page, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Caldwell Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Page struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
