Volleyball Recap: Whitney Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Scarlet Beltjens and Regan Parenti + How To Watch

Whitney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Granite Bay Grizzlies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Grizzlies since November 2, 2021.

While Whitney was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Granite Bay's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 27-25.

Whitney's loss came despite strong showings from Regan Parenti and Scarlet Beltjens. Parenti had four aces and three digs, while Beltjens had seven digs and two assists. Parenti is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Granite Bay, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-14 record.
