Sherburne-Earlville took a 67-53 bruising from Cooperstown. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sherburne-Earlville in their matchups with Cooperstown: they've now lost three in a row.
Cooperstown was led to victory by Brody Murdock and Charlie Lambert. Murdock scored 16 points, while Lambert scored 23 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The game was Lambert's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jackson Crisman was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Sherburne-Earlville's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Cooperstown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherburne-Earlville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Canastota at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Cooperstown will finish 2023 at home by hosting Richfield Springs Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
