Prout is 0-4 against La Salle Academy since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Prout barely beat Moses Brown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders blew past the Quakers 14-2 on Wednesday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Quakers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Lucy Kaiser made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Kaiser was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Prout let Emma Manzo and Rachel Dias run wild. Manzo scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Dias went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Manzo has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Boyajian, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, La Salle Academy entered their tilt with Smithfield on Tuesday with 26 consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with 27. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sentinels, sneaking past 3-1.
Hailey Vigneau spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Phoenyx Silva was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Nikki Pallotta was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
La Salle Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Smithfield struck out eight times.
La Salle Academy's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Prout, their record now sits at 2-0.
Prout might still be hurting after the 13-1 loss they got from La Salle Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
