The Ellicott Thunderhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Salida Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Ellicott focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Ellicott, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 34-19 loss to Del Norte. Ellicott has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parris Erickson was Ellicott's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Meanwhile, Salida made easy work of Sanford on Friday and carried off a 71-46 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-21.
The losses dropped Ellicott to 0-2 and Del Norte to 1-1.
Ellicott lost to Salida on the road by a decisive 57-38 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Ellicott avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
