The Davenport Wolves stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 81-57 margin over Wimberley. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-20.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Davenport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian McKinney, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McKinney has scored all season. Cameron Gaston was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Several Texans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holden Crawford, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan Sharp, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Davenport has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Wimberley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.
Davenport will be playing at home against Navarro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Navarro is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Wimberley, they will head out on the road to face off against Bandera at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Elijah Salas and Paul Gumbert-mendoza.
