After flying high against the Tornillo Coyotes on Tuesday, the Crane Cranes came back down to earth. Crane fell to Kermit 36-30. Crane was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kermit apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Kermit found their leader in underclassman MICHAELA CAZARIN, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleixa Lara, who scored six points.
Crane's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4. As for Kermit, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Crane will be home for the holidays to greet Alpine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alpine will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1235th, while Crane is ranked 588th). As for Kermit, they will head out on the road to face off against Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stanton is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
