Basketball Recap: Winfield Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Winfield won the last time they faced Haleyville and things went their way on Thursday too. The stars were shining brightly for the Winfield Pirates in a 66-48 victory over the Haleyville Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Winfield pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Haleyville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Winfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Florence at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Haleyville, they and Lynn will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
