TEACH on the road again on Tuesday and play against the StoneBridge Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. TEACH comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, TEACH took a serious blow against Norfolk Academy, falling 54-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for TEACH in their matchups with Norfolk Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, StoneBridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 41-7 win over Denbigh Baptist Christian at home. StoneBridge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
TEACH bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.5 points per game. As for StoneBridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
